Day 24

I sit hear listening to the thunder and am reminded how powerful the Lord is. i just finished praying with a woman that has been thrown away by the world. No one cares. Even preachers and churches think she is too far gone. She has been witnessed to time and time again... but I'm not sure if you can consider it witnessing... easy believism on one side and beating her with a Bible on the other. I wonder if she has ever been loved with the Truth. She is a teacher at a university... has been for years. She has gone to church and says that she used to feel the love of God, but she doesn't anymore. Over the past 10-15 years her mind has begun be entangled in bondage. She is afraid that one day she will lose her mind completely and she will go to hell. She sees her sin and her need for a Savior and knows the only Savior is Jesus Christ. Her idol... feeding cats. She spends her last penny on feeding every cat in Lebanon...it takes all her time, energy,and money. In her words, it has become an addiction. It may sound crazy, but it is a bondage. She is a slave to it. Don't get high and mighty... your bondage is just as crazy as hers. Any idol that we put above the Lord is crazy. She confessed many sins from lying to stealing. Then we got on our knees and prayed. I prayed for her and then she began to pray. She prayed that the Lord would have pity on her and save her. Everyone else has just told her that because she goes to church she is saved.... but tonight she herself said that she knew she was not. Please pray for this woman, her name is Diana. She needs the Lord's grace as we all do. Pray that the Lord would have mercy on her soul. Pray that as she goes home and cries out to Him that He would look upon her with pity and cover her in His Perfect Righteousness. He is mighty to save!
Also- please pray for a dear friend of ours... Dr.Wright. His brother has terminal lung cancer. Thursday he was traveling to see his brother and share the Gospel with him. Please pray that the Lord would have mercy on Dr.W's brother and would pour out his grace upon Dr.Wright. Thank you for your prayers. We walk around in a world filled with spiritually dead people...we are surrounded by them. You may be one of them. Cast your eyes to the only Hope we have, Christ Jesus the Lord.
