So we started to practice our Arabic today... I repeat.. started. We have a looooong way to go! We walked around Hamra and walked to AUB. One accomplishment today was that I found grain in bulk for 50 cents a pound!!! Most of you know that I before we came to Lebanon, I was grinding my own wheat to make fresh bread for my family. Freshly ground flour is so much healthier, especially for Sean because of his diabetes. It has so many more nutrients and protein. I wanted to be able to find grain here so that if we return, I will be able to continue to grind my own wheat here. Since this was the first place I have found it, I'm hoping that I may be able to find it for even cheaper if I keep looking.
In the evening Walid took us for a drive in the mountains. It was so beautiful! We actually ended up in a traffic jam for an hour and a half in Beirut on our way to the mountains. We sang hymns and talked. Isaiah was loving all the bright lights of the city! As you can see in the pic I posted, he was eatin' it up! The drive was worth the wait! We stopped at a little restaurant and had a home cooked Lebanese meal. Tomorrow will be more studying, laundry, and cleaning!!! Isaiah is feeling much better- although he is having some tummy troubles! So please pray for him and his belly! And also pray for Walid as he prepares to preach in Ireland and England.
Jessica, Hope this works, don't know anything about blogging!! Miss you guys and hope it's going well. Love Ya, Lee Foster
