Day 15

Finally today I got to go to church! We went to a service here in Beirut, but it was so nice to get out! Other than just walking around our neighborhood, I haven't gone anywhere since last Thursday! Walid and Sean have gone, but I've stayed home with Isaiah. I was so ready to get out! We took Isaiah for a walk today, just to see how he would do. And he was definitely ready to get out too! He was kicking and squealing! He had a slight fever in the late afternoon, but we decided to go ahead and take him to the service after getting it down with some Tylenol. We just made sure he wasn't close enough to anyone to get them sick. I really think it is just teething, but we want to be careful anyway. Sean decided that we would wait until this coming Wednesday to stay in Tyre. We will spend the weekend studying and going out around Hamra (our neighborhood) and AUB (American University of Beirut) practicing what we have learned in Arabic so far. It's kind of intimidating! But I am so excited about learning the language and being able to communicate even a little! Then we will have classes again Tuesday and Wednesday.
I am excited about going to Tyre. Even though Tyre is smaller it is such a beautiful town! When we move there, I will definitely post some pictures. I want to be able to be a part of the daily ministry at the church. The family that lives in Tyre work so hard, I pray that we will be a blessing to them. I know that the Lord has a purpose in keeping us in Beirut longer than we expected and we want to be obedient to however the Lord leads us. This is His life we are living, not ours... we are just along for the ride! And what an adventure it is!!!
