Barb- to answer your questions about the language: The language is Arabic. We will start language school next week. A friend said that it has taken him 7 years to learn. It is supposed to be the second hardest language to learn. Mandarin chinese is the first. So please pray that the Lord will give us grace to learn the language. I will keep you updated.

Day 3
What a blessing today has been! Tomorrow will be a long day so today was a little more leisurely. In the morning we rested and unpacked. Then in the afternoon we went to a family's house and had lunch/dinner. It was so delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kibbi, tabouli, hummus, pita, chicken, fruit, and coffee! (Dr.Wright, I know you are jealous!!!) The view from their house was so beautiful... it was over looking the mountain and the ocean. I felt like I was in a postcard. I will post pictures as soon as I find out how. (or I may just post them on facebook.) Then we went to the grocery.... which surprisingly reminded me of a big lebanese wal-mart. Although it was much nicer and you could get fresh spices, dates, and olives out of big barrels....yum! Now we are home and resting before tomorrow. In the morning we will get up early to travel to Tyre for services... which will again be a long bumpy travel for Isaiah. He seems to be doing so well though. Last night he woke up at around 2 and cried for about 30 minutes. After that he went right back to sleep and slept all night. He is adjusting quite quickly.

Hey Jess~ Soooo sorry that it didn't work out for us to get together before you all left out. Just wanted to share with you a story of Our Lord's undeserved faithfulness, which I know that you are already aware of, but it's always great to hear how special we are to God! For about three days prior to the day that I contacted you on FaceBook, the Lord had BURDENED my heart with you and your family. The first day, I said a quick prayer, the second a little longer one, the third day, I bombarded heaven, I was pleading The Blood, and commanding anything negative to flee! I then got on Facebook and found out about your trip to Lebanon and I have been praying that third day prayer every day since then! And just imagine how many others that You and Sean have touched their lives, and now the Lord has moves them to intercede! Oh how the Lord must be pleased with you!!! And oh how He loves us!! Blessings and protection for you and your family!! Love You! P.S. Any idea how long you'll stay there?
ReplyDeletei hate to ask... but who is this???
ReplyDeletewe are going to be returning in mid december. we will be staying with our family through the holidays. we are praying about whether the Lord would have us to come back and stay long term at some point in the future.
Hello to my sweet Jessy and family!! I miss you guys already, even though we didn't see each other as often as we wanted, we knew that we were just hours away if needed. Jess, thank you so much for calling, I am so sorry that I missed your call but I kept the recorded message so I can hear your voice whenever I want ot need to:).
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you are settling in and Isaiah will adjust, it takes babies a little longer but he will be fine.
Our love and prayers are with you today and every day!
