Day 20

Today has been so encouraging and so exhausting at the same time. Isaiah didn't sleep well last night and he was fussy all day. Whether it was time to eat or nap or play... he wasn't happy. He wasn't snotty or congested today and no fever, so I'm not sure what the deal was. It is so exhausting to hear him cry. This evening he seemed to be much better, so we pray tomorrow will be a better day.
Other than Isaiah being fussy, it was a very encouraging day. Our arabic teacher was running late so when the woman came for counsel, I wasn't able to meet with her. Walid spoke with her and then after we were finished with our Arabic lessons I went to her house. She doesn't speak much English so I had to bring her home with me so that Walid could translate. She showed no desire for the Lord but also didn't show that she was upset by our talking about it... she seemed somewhat open. She has no one here, her family is all in another country. She has a one year old little girl. She asked me to come back and visit as much as possible.(!) She and her husband live right behind us, so i am excited to see what the Lord will do. I am excited about being able to live out the Gospel with our neighbor. Then there was a lady sitting on our steps waiting for her daughter to get out of class. I went out and talked with her for a bit. She is orthodox and her husband is muslim. She is supposed to come and have coffee with me Thursday. I gave her a Bible and invited her to come to a Bible study here on Tuesday evenings. A Bible study on Tuesdays will be a new thing, but it seems as if the Lord is beginning to draw a few people to come. Please pray about this! We want to be in the Lord's will. Also pray for the young couple that lives behind us and for the woman and her daughter that I met today. Can you imagine that the Lord is sending a muslim couple to Christians for marital advice! We serve such a mighty Lord. Pray that the Lord would give us wisdom and discernment.
