Day 13

Well... Today was our first language class, woohoo!!! It was a lot of fun, but we definitely have our work cut out for us! We learned words like cup, house, coffee, key, "I have", "I want", "Do you have..." here, there etc. After class we had lunch today with a man from Nepal, a IMB missionary, and Said. We will have our 2nd class tomorrow.
Tonight was supposed to be for studying, but we spent the majority of the night with Isaiah. He is not feeling much better, tonight he was running a low-grade fever. Not high enough to worry, but enough to be fussy. We are so blessed to be able to call Dr.B for advice. The Lord is so good to us! Also- for any of you worriers out there: there is an american hospital only 10 blocks away!!! If his fever gets higher or he gets worse, we can go see a doctor there. But the Lord is faithful and good. As I was talking to Dr.B tonight I realized that even Isaiah being sick is part of the Lord teaching us here. It may sound strange... especially if you are not confident in the Lord's sovereignty (which I hope by the end of this blog you will be!) but one of my main goal's while we are here is to learn to take care of my household and family in a foreign country. Well- today we learned to look for an infant decongestant at the pharmacy... and I am learning to take care of a sick little boy in Lebanon. Even when he is sick and slimy he is so cute! My heart melts! We never knew that we would have a baby... The Lord has blessed us with such a wonderful son.. I trust Him completely to take care of Isaiah.
Tomorrow is the day we were suppose to move to Tyre, but it will depend on how Isaiah is. We are being prayerful (be prayerful with us!). If Isaiah is not feeling better we will stay here for another week. Sean will go to church in Tyre and come home in the evening while I stay here with Isaiah.
Oh- and another blessing today--- Walid found a blender for us for $20! We were able to make 3 days worth of baby food at one time and it only took 15 minutes! I feel like the Lord is spoiling us! We are blessed to be His!

  1. HEy sister! Wow, God is teaching you so much in such a short time. I am so glad to hear that you trust God with Isaiah, that is hard to do sometimes when they are not feeling good. Hang in there girl!!
