It is only 6 pm, but I'm going to blog early because i have a lot of packing and cleaning to do. Walid and Said should be back sometime this evening and tomorrow Mark and Don will be here! We are so excited about seeing them! It will be such a nice visit! But while they are here, we will have to go and stay in Tyre so that they can have our room. So I need to pack for our stay.
Today was such a blessing! We had a really good arabic lesson and then Lodi, our teacher, went with me to my neighbor's apartment. She translated so that we could talk. It was really a blessing. I am looking forward to doing it every week. We have really enjoyed spending time with our arabic teacher. She loves the Lord and she is such a good teacher, she is so patient with us.
When Lodi and I came back from the neighbor's house, my husband took me on a date! It was such a sweet surprise! He took me to a little sushi place... i love sushi! And it was good sushi! It was one of those places where the sushi is on a conveyor and you pick out whatever you want. (And it wasn't as expensive as in the States! well- I guess it depends on what sushi place you go to in the states.) Anyway- then we walked around for a bit. We went into this 5 level department store, which happens to be the only place in Hamra I have been to that I could afford to shop. I got a really cute sweater for Isaiah for $5. It was interesting because one of the floors was full of the imports that I used to sell from Indonesia and India. I really enjoyed just looking around. The one really weird thing was that the department store had really raunchy rap music playing. There were families shopping together and the "f" bomb was being dropped like every other word.... not to mention the MANY other obscenities. I guess because it was in english, maybe many of the people didn't understand what the song was saying. But if you did understand english, you couldn't miss it because it was blaring! Sean finally said that it was so bad that if the music didn't get better we would have to leave.
Now we are getting ready to eat dinner and Isaiah is taking a nap. As soon as he wakes up, it is pack time! I'm not sure when I will be able to blog again. But I will try and keep it as updated as possible! Pray for Mark and Bro. Don's stay while they are here! And pray for our stay in Tyre.
