I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!! ok... now that i got that out of the way... Today was such a good day! Because baby food is so expensive i experimented with making my own... YIPPEE! Karen- you were right... bananas and avocados are the way to go! It may sound gross but afterward sean asked me to make him a banana avocado smoothie! there are juice places everywhere here where you can get yummy fruit smoothies with any kind of fruit (and some veggies) that you want! I brought my magic bullet (thanks to steph reece) with me in order to make baby food.... but today as i was in the middle of making a batch of yummy carrots and squash.. my magic bullet died :o(. It must have something to do with the electricity here vs. america. all i know is it spun itself to death! but... my Jehovah Jireh (God is my Provider) already had it worked out! Someone had given Walid a juicer... that he had up in a cabinet just waiting to make baby food! It separates the juice from the pulp so i just had to add it back together. other than that, it worked great! So I am in the baby food making business!
Sean also took me on a date today. As we were looking for "belly medicine" at the pharmacy and were disappointed that they didn't have what we wanted... my sweet husband took me to eat at Nando's!... a place I have always wanted to eat (as i previously mention in a prior blog). The best grilled chicken and veggies i have ever eaten!!! woo! i could eat there everyday.. and it was healthy! yeah! I came home and fixed a pasta (that Gabi Green taught me to make) for Walid and another missionary (from Alaska) named Noah. Noah is such a godly young man. We are truly enjoying getting to know him. He is definitely a brother in Christ. He is brilliant and knows the language very well. Sean has had very good fellowship with him. Remember him in your prayers.
Then all of us went down to the beach to hand out Bibles and talk with people. I mostly prayed because I had Isaiah with me and I don't know the language. Please pray for the people in Lebanon and for the work going on here. But more than that... pray that the Lord's name would be praised among the people of Lebanon and that He would be pleased with our weak efforts. The longer we are here the more I realize what a mediocre Christian i am and i hate that. Pray that the Lord would make me a woman of prayer, obedience, discernment, and humility. I am so thankful that it would please Him to allow me to be here! We are truly blessed!
